Maternity photographer in the Zillertal

A maternity photographer in the Zillertal is a photographer who takes portraits during pregnancy — usually between the 30th and 36th week — of the mother alone, with her partner or with older siblings, outdoors in the valley or in your own home. The session takes about an hour with plenty of pauses, the photographer brings a few neutral dresses or fabrics on request and guides poses that are comfortable for the bump. The edited pictures follow within two to three weeks.

For pregnant mothers, the high glacier and the 2,000-metre plateaus are not the obvious choice, which makes the Stillup valley a better fit. The Zillertal tourism board describes a toll road of 8 km from Mayrhofen to the Stillup reservoir at 1,116 metres, built in 1966; it has gradients of up to 15 per cent, but beyond the reservoir the valley road climbs only gently through alpine meadows, with places to stop for a drink. The 2026 road season started on 14 May, and a shuttle bus runs from Mayrhofen to the Wasserfall guest house and the Grüne-Wand-Hütte, so you do not even need to drive. Lower altitude, short distances and water with a wooded valley behind it make for gentle, quiet maternity photos.
