Product photographers in Austria

In an online shop, the photo has to do what touching the product does in a store. Product photographers deliver consistent packshots on white or a neutral background for listings and marketplaces, close-ups that show material and detail, and lifestyle images where the product is in use — the ceramic mug on a breakfast table, the backpack on a trail, the jar of jam next to fresh bread.

Austria has a lot of small makers selling online: wineries, distilleries, farm shops, jewellers, designers and craft businesses. A product photographer can work in a studio or come to your workshop, kitchen or vineyard, which often tells the story better. Food photography for restaurants and producers is its own skill, with styling and fast work while dishes look fresh. Tell us what you sell and where the images will appear, and we find someone who fits.

How to plan it

  1. 1

    Make a shot list

List every product, the variants (colours, sizes) and the views you need: front, back, detail, in use. Note marketplace requirements such as background colour or aspect ratio.

  2. 2

    Prepare flawless samples

Scratches, dust and creased labels show up in close-ups. Bring clean, undamaged pieces, a spare of each if possible, and for food, enough to replace dishes as they wilt.

  3. 3

    Plan for consistency

If you add products regularly, agree on a fixed setup — lighting, angle, background — so new items match the existing range without reshooting everything.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to send my products to a studio?

It depends. Packshots are often done in the photographer’s studio, so you send or bring the products. For larger items, food or lifestyle images, the photographer can also come to you.

Can you photograph food for our menu or website?

Yes. Food photographers work with your kitchen on timing so dishes are photographed at their best. Plan the shoot outside service hours, ideally with daylight in the room.

What file formats and sizes will I receive?

Usually web-ready files plus high-resolution versions for print. Mention your platform — your own webshop, an online marketplace, social media — so images are delivered in the right format.
