Social media videographer in the Zillertal

A social media videographer in the Zillertal is a videographer who produces short vertical videos — reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts and stories — for hotels, ski and bike schools, huts and outdoor brands in the valley, built for the first two seconds and for viewing without sound. A typical shooting day produces raw material for eight to fifteen clips; editing with captions, music and hooks follows within a week, in the formats each platform needs.

The SkyRide on the Ahorn above Mayrhofen is the kind of moment that stops a thumb mid-scroll. Mayrhofner Bergbahnen describe it as an open-air deck on the roof of the Ahornbahn, which they call Austria’s largest cable car: the ride reaches the plateau at 2,000 metres in about seven minutes at roughly 10 metres per second, with 360-degree views. Tickets are sold only on site, each covers one ascent or one descent, the deck runs depending on weather and daily availability, and it does not operate during the sunrise gondola rides; dogs and skis are not allowed on the platform, and access is step-free. For a hotel or brand reel that means one take up and, if needed, a second one down, planned with a stable grip, wind protection for the microphone and a clear idea of the shot before the doors close.

Good to know

Plan the SkyRide sequence on paper first; each ticket is valid for one ascent or one descent, so there is no instant retake.
Use a wrist strap or a secured grip on the open deck; at about 10 m/s the wind is strong.
Film the hook in the first two seconds and add burned-in captions — most viewers watch with the sound off.

Frequently asked questions

What does a social media videographer in the Zillertal deliver?

Edited vertical clips of 15 to 60 seconds with captions and licensed music, plus selected raw footage. A social media videographer in the Zillertal plans the hooks with you so the clips fit your account and audience.

Can we film on the SkyRide for our reel?

Riders on the SkyRide in the Zillertal can film from the deck within the operator’s rules. For a commercial production with crew or props, ask Mayrhofner Bergbahnen in advance about filming permission and conditions.

How often should a hotel in the Zillertal post videos?

Many hotels in the Zillertal aim for one or two reels a week. One shooting day per season usually gives enough material for that rhythm, filmed in batches and released over the following weeks.
