Wedding photographer in Kitzbühel
Kitzbühel combines a medieval town centre with some of the most famous mountains in the Alps. Couples marry in the hilltop parish church or a small chapel, celebrate in a chalet-style hotel or a mountain restaurant and step out for portraits with the jagged Wilder Kaiser on the horizon. It is a year-round wedding destination: green alpine meadows and long evenings in summer, deep snow and fairy-tale light in winter.
The town is busy around big events — above all the Hahnenkamm ski race in January — so dates and accommodation are planned with the calendar in mind. Send us your date, ceremony location and the season you have in mind, and we check which photographers are free.

Location ideas in Kitzbühel
- 01
Hahnenkamm by gondola
The gondola from the edge of town takes you to wide ridges and huts with views to the Wilder Kaiser. Operating seasons apply, so the timing is checked for your date.
- 02
Schwarzsee
A small moor lake just outside town that reflects the Wilder Kaiser on calm evenings — a classic for summer portraits.
- 03
Church hill in the old town
The two churches above the town centre and the colourful façades of the Vorderstadt give a traditional backdrop within walking distance of most hotels.
- 04
Snowy winter portraits
A horse-drawn sleigh, snow-covered forest paths or a mountain hut at dusk. Winter light is low and soft, but daylight is short.
Good to know
- Avoid the Hahnenkamm race weekend in January unless you want to be part of it — the town is fully booked.
- In winter, plan portraits between late morning and around 3:30 pm; it gets dark early in the mountains.
- Snow boots under the dress and warm layers make winter portraits much more relaxed.

Frequently asked questions
Can we have the ceremony on the mountain?
Free ceremonies at huts and viewpoints are common. The legal civil ceremony runs through the registry office, which decides whether it can take place outside its rooms — this is checked when planning.
Do guests need to ski to reach a mountain venue?
No. Many mountain restaurants can be reached by gondola, and some by road or shuttle. Ask the venue how guests get there in your season.
