Proposal photographer in Klagenfurt

A proposal photographer in Klagenfurt is a photographer who waits out of sight at a spot you have chosen, captures the question and the answer as they happen, and then stays for a short couple session while the moment is still fresh. In Klagenfurt the classic plan is a climb: the steeple of the city parish church of St. Egid has 225 steps up to its viewing platform, and from the top the panorama reaches from the Wörthersee to the Karawanken and the Koralpe. The steeple still has a keeper – the tourism board calls him the only full-time tower keeper in Austria – so the platform is a supervised place to kneel.

The tower has fixed hours and closes in heavy rain, snow or thunderstorms, so we keep a second plan ready on the Kreuzbergl. Its stone observation platform, put up about a century ago in honour of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth, is free to enter and looks over the Klagenfurt basin. A proposal shoot usually lasts 45 to 90 minutes: we agree a signal, the photographer arrives early to find the angle, and after the yes there are relaxed portraits nearby. Edited images follow within days.

Frequently asked questions

Can I propose on the Stadtpfarrturm in Klagenfurt?

Yes, the viewing platform of the Klagenfurt city parish church steeple is open to visitors on set days from April to October. Because it closes in heavy rain, snow or thunderstorms, a proposal photographer always keeps an alternative spot nearby.
