Event videographer in Salzburg

An event videographer in Salzburg is a videographer who films conferences, galas, concerts and company celebrations and turns them into an aftermovie, full recordings of talks or performances, and short clips for social media. Salzburg’s calendar is busy well beyond the summer festival. The Mozart Week of the Mozarteum Foundation runs from 21 to 31 January 2027, with concerts in the Großer Saal of the Stiftung Mozarteum, the Haus für Mozart, the Großes Festspielhaus and the Rittersaal of the Residenz, and visitors from many countries fill the city.

January filming has its own logistics. Around Mozart’s birthday on 27 January the sun sets at about 5 pm, so evening arrivals, receptions and walks between venues happen in the dark and need light that does not disturb guests. Cold also drains batteries quickly between the car and the hall. A typical event job covers a day or an evening with one or two cameras, a sound feed from the venue’s mixing desk for speeches, and an edit delivered in stages: a teaser first, the full film later. Send the date, venue, programme and which videos you need.

Location ideas in Salzburg

  1. 01

    Großer Saal, Stiftung Mozarteum

The concert hall of the Mozarteum Foundation, a Mozart Week venue. Recording inside needs the hall’s agreement and close work with its technicians.

  2. 02

    Rittersaal in the Residenz

A state room of the prince-archbishops’ palace, now part of the DomQuartier and used for concerts — formal, richly decorated and best filmed from the side.

  3. 03

    Universitätsplatz

On 27 January 2027 a free open-air birthday serenade takes place here from 6.30 to 6.50 pm — short, public and a chance for atmosphere shots.

Good to know

  • In January keep two spare batteries per camera in an inside pocket — outdoor arrival shots in sub-zero temperatures empty them noticeably faster.
  • Ask the venue’s AV technician for a feed from the mixing desk; in historic halls with long reverberation, on-camera sound is rarely usable for speeches.
  • Mention filming in the invitation and at the entrance, and get written consent from speakers whose talks will be published online.

Frequently asked questions

Can an event videographer in Salzburg deliver clips during the event?

Yes. Many event videographers offer same-day edits: short clips cut on site and ready for social media the same evening or the next morning. Mention it in the request, because it usually means an extra editor or more time.

Do we need two cameras for our event in Salzburg?

One camera is enough for an aftermovie. If you want full recordings of talks while also capturing the atmosphere, or parallel sessions in several halls, plan for a second event videographer.

Is filming allowed at concerts during the Mozart Week?

Audience filming rules are set by each organiser and venue. A corporate event videographer can film your own reception or dinner around the concerts; recording the performance itself needs the organiser’s permission in advance.
