Event videographer in Villach

An event videographer in Villach is a filmmaker who records conferences, galas, company parties and festivals and turns them into a recap film, full-length talks or short clips for social media. Villach has a season of its own that shapes the winter calendar: Fasching. The tourism board calls Villach the most carnival-minded town in Austria; the jesters take over from 11 November, “Lei Lei” is the town’s carnival greeting, and on Carnival Saturday – 14 February in 2026 – the whole city dresses up in costume. Many local companies hold their own carnival evening in those weeks, and those parties are loud, colourful and over quickly – ideal material for a two-minute film.

The rest of the year most bigger events in town take place at the Congress Center Villach on the Drau. Its Josef-Resch-Saal seats up to 1,060 people in rows with the balcony, and the Gottfried-von-Einem-Saal holds up to 400 at banquet tables. For a conference the videographer records each talk with two cameras and a feed from the sound desk, then delivers edited talks and a recap; for a gala the focus shifts to atmosphere, awards and guests. A first teaser can be ready the next day, full edits usually within one to two weeks.

Good to know

Ask the Congress Center for an audio feed from the house sound desk; it is clearer than any camera microphone in a hall of 653 to 910 m².
Carnival dates move with Easter each year – check the next Carnival Saturday before you fix the date of a company Fasching party.
Allow 60 minutes before doors open for camera and sound setup in the hall, and 30 minutes for a quick interview corner.
