From the market square along the lakeside lane towards the viewpoint as the light fades. Few people, warm windows and calm water.

Waldbachstrub waterfall
An easy forest walk from the Lahn end of the village up the Echerntal to a roaring waterfall. Green, cool and almost always quiet.

Across the lake, meadows and a pebbly shoreline look back towards Hallstatt and the mountains. Lovely in the morning, with space and privacy.
