On the way it passes the Gadauner gorge, a natural monument with tunnels blasted into the rock between 1934 and 1938, the historic Rauchberg mills and an old mountain farm. For a shoot we walk only the first part: the gorge tunnels give dark, framed shots, the open slopes give light and air. Expect 90 minutes to two hours; you receive an edited gallery about two weeks later.

Good to know

The Höhenweg is listed for May to October; outside those months, choose the promenades in the village instead.
In the gorge tunnels it is dark even at noon: plan the shoot for a bright day and allow your photographer a few minutes to work with the contrast.
Wear shoes you can walk in for an hour and bring the nicer pair in a bag for the village part.
In mid-September the sun sets around 19.20; aim to be in the open sections of the trail between about 17.30 and 18.30.
